Event Video and Photos at the Long Beach Convention Center: Trade Shows I've Shot
Updated: 3 days ago
The Long Beach Convention Center is one of the venues I know best. I've shot trade shows and conferences on that floor, both photos and video, and each one taught me something about getting good content in a big, loud, busy room.
AWE USA 2026 for ON Services
This year I photographed AWE USA, the augmented and virtual reality expo, for ON Services, the event production company that built and ran the show. They wanted photos that showed the flow of the event, the structure they created and how well it all came together, so they could post them on their socials and show what they built for the company running AWE. That meant capturing the setup, the crowds moving through the halls and the stages running the way they planned. See the photos from AWE here.

Watts product videos at the WQA Convention
In 2025 an agency brought me in to film for Watts at the Water Quality Association convention at the Long Beach Convention Center. We set up right on the trade show floor and I filmed their team explaining the new products they were launching for the industry. Their team handled the edit, and the videos went up on the Watts YouTube channel, so the work kept selling long after the booth came down. Watch one of them on YouTube.
What I've learned shooting at the Long Beach Convention Center
Trade show floors are loud, so I bring wireless and lav mics and get clean audio for every interview. The halls are huge, so I plan the run of show ahead of time and know where I need to be when the keynote starts. And I'm fully insured, with a COI ready for the venue before load-in.
Every event package comes with a 60-second teaser within 72 hours, so you can post while people are still talking about it. If it's not in your inbox in 72 hours, your next edit is free. The full highlight film, speaker clips and sponsor cuts follow within 7 to 14 days.
Book an event videographer in Long Beach
I'm based in the South Bay, a short drive from downtown Long Beach. Email info@hbillimedia.com with your date and venue and I'll send you a quote. I take on up to 3 events a week because I edit every one myself.
