How Much Does Brand Activation Video Cost in Los Angeles? (2026 Prices)

Short answer: In Los Angeles, video and photo coverage of a brand activation usually runs $2,000 to $5,000 for a single day, depending on hours, crew and how many edits you need. At H Billi Media, a half day of video and photo is $2,200 and a full day is $4,500. Vertical social clips are $125 each, guest testimonials start at $400, and a 60-second teaser lands in your inbox within 72 hours.

Brand activations are my favorite work, because no two are the same. One week it's a bank's VIP deck at a beach festival, the next it's a private movie screening. What they all have in common is that the event lasts a few hours and the content has to keep selling long after the tent comes down. Here is what that costs in LA and what you should be paying for. I'm Humberto Ona, III, I shoot and edit every H Billi Media project myself, and I'm based in Harbor City in the South Bay.

What does brand activation video cost in Los Angeles?

Most activations fall into one of three sizes. These are for one operator with two cameras, with travel anywhere in Los Angeles and Orange County included.

  • Pop-up or short appearance, 2 hours: $750 for video or $650 for photo. Good for a product drop, an in-store moment or a quick sponsor appearance.

  • Half-day activation, video and photo: $2,200 for up to 4 hours. You get a 60-second teaser within 72 hours, 2 vertical social clips and 100+ edited photos within a week.

  • Full-day activation or festival sponsorship: $4,500 for up to 8 hours. You get the teaser within 72 hours, a 2 to 3 minute highlight film, 5 short clips, 3 sponsor cuts and 250+ edited photos within a week.

  • Multi-day activations and tours: from $4,000 per day, 2-day minimum.

Every package comes with the same promise: if your teaser isn't in your inbox within 72 hours, your next edit is free.

What add-ons make sense for an activation?

An activation lives or dies on social, so most of my activation clients add a few of these to the base coverage.

  • Extra vertical social clips: $125 each. 9:16 clips for Reels, TikTok, Shorts and LinkedIn, captioned and ready to post.

  • Guest testimonials and reactions: from $400. Short on-camera moments with guests saying what they thought, which is the proof your brand can't say about itself.

  • Same-night photo selects: $300. 20 to 30 edited photos delivered that night, so your PR and social team can post while the event is still trending.

  • Same-day recap: $1,200, plus a second operator at $800 so the coverage never stops while I edit on site.

  • Highlight film: a 2 to 3 minute recap of the whole activation for your site, your pitch decks and next year's sponsor conversations.

You can build your exact mix and see the price on my Packages page.

Why activation video pays for itself

You already spent the money on the build, the staff, the permits and the giveaways. Without good content, all of that is gone the second the event ends. With it, the activation keeps working: it fills your social feed for weeks, it shows your partners exactly what their money bought, and it gives you a reel to win the next placement or sponsorship. The video is usually the smallest line in the activation budget and the only part that lasts.

What I've filmed

For Citizens Private Bank, I filmed their VIP deck sponsorship at BeachLife Festival in Redondo Beach, and they used the video on their social channels. Screenvision Media hired me for the private screening of The Devil Wears Prada 2 at The Grove. I've also covered the Vytalogy event, the Redondo Beach Super Bowl 10K and the Redondo Beach Mayor's State of the City address. Teams at Salesforce, Rippling, Teachable, Bluehost, SiriusXM and Citizens Private Bank have trusted me with their events.

What makes activation video cost more or less?

  • Hours on site. Setup and breakdown count, and I book at least 2 hours when two cameras are running.

  • Crowd size and layout. A busy festival footprint may need a second operator to catch the booth, the stage and the guests at the same time.

  • Speed. Same-night photos and same-day recaps cost more because the editing happens on site.

  • Number of edits. Each vertical clip, testimonial and highlight film is its own edit.

  • Usage rights. Posting on your website and social media is included. Paid ads and broadcast are spelled out in the proposal so you know exactly what you own.

How do I book activation coverage?

Email info@hbillimedia.com with the date, the location, and what you want to walk away with. I'll reply with a plan and a quote, with no commitment to book. 50% holds the date, and the rest is due after your event, before editing begins. I'm fully insured and can send a certificate of insurance (COI) for your venue or festival.
