What It Costs to Film a Conference at the Long Beach Convention Center

Short answer: Filming a conference or trade show at the Long Beach Convention Center usually runs $2,000 to $5,000 a day for video and photo with editing included. With H Billi Media, a half day of video and photo is $2,200, a full day is $4,500, and multi-day conferences start at $4,000 a day. Travel is included, and a 60-second teaser lands in your inbox within 72 hours.

Long Beach is one of my favorite places to work. It's about 20 minutes from my home base in Harbor City, I've filmed AWE USA and the WQA trade show inside that building, and I know how the load-in, the halls and the ballrooms work. If you're planning a conference, an expo or a trade show booth there, this is what video and photo coverage costs and what you should ask for. I'm Humberto Ona, III, and I shoot and edit every H Billi Media project myself.

What does conference video cost at the Long Beach Convention Center?

These are my packages for one operator with two cameras, one locked on the stage and one handheld on the floor. Travel to Long Beach is always included.

  • Single session or keynote, 2 hours: $750 for video or $650 for photo.

  • Half day, video and photo: $2,200 for up to 4 hours. You get a 60-second teaser within 72 hours, 2 vertical social clips and 100+ edited photos within a week.

  • Full day, video and photo: $4,500 for up to 8 hours. You get the teaser within 72 hours, a 2 to 3 minute highlight film, 5 speaker clips, 3 sponsor cuts and 250+ edited photos within a week.

  • Multi-day conferences and expos: from $4,000 per day, 2-day minimum, with a daily recap so you can post every night of the show.

Every package comes with the same promise: if your teaser isn't in your inbox within 72 hours, your next edit is free. You can build your exact mix on my Packages page.

Filming a trade show booth in Long Beach

A lot of my Long Beach work isn't for the event organizer at all. It's for a company with a booth on the expo floor. If that's you, the goal is different: you want content that shows people stopping, talking and trying your product, plus short clips your sales team can send after the show.

  • Booth coverage, 2 hours: $750 for video or $650 for photo, timed to your busiest hours on the floor.

  • Vertical social clips: $125 each, captioned and ready for LinkedIn, Reels and TikTok.

  • Customer testimonials: from $400. Short on-camera moments with buyers and partners at your booth.

  • Same-night photo selects: $300 for 20 to 30 edited photos, so your team can post while the show is still trending.

What I've filmed at the Long Beach Convention Center

I've covered AWE USA and the WQA trade show at the Long Beach Convention Center, and ATD26 at the Los Angeles Convention Center up the road. Teams at Salesforce, Rippling, Teachable, Bluehost, SiriusXM and Citizens Private Bank have trusted me with their events, from a single keynote to multi-day conferences.

What makes Long Beach conference video cost more or less?

  • How many rooms you need covered. One operator covers one room at a time. A main stage plus breakouts means more people or a plan for which sessions matter most.

  • Hours on site. Setup and breakdown count, and big halls take longer to move through than a hotel ballroom.

  • Audio. I tap the board feed when the AV team allows it, which gives you clean sound for full session recordings. Booth video uses wireless mics instead.

  • How many edits you want. Each speaker clip, sponsor cut, testimonial and highlight film is its own edit.

  • Turnaround. Daily recaps and same-day edits cost more because the editing happens during the show.

Planning tips for Long Beach shows

Get your videographer on the vendor list early, since most shows ask for a certificate of insurance (COI) before load-in. I'm fully insured and send the COI as soon as you book. Share the run of show and the speaker list so I know which sessions matter most, and introduce me to the AV team before day one so the board audio is ready to go. If you're shooting a booth, pick your busiest hours on the floor and I'll build the coverage around them.

If you're planning something smaller in the South Bay, see my guide to what a corporate event videographer costs in Los Angeles, or my Long Beach event videographer page.

How do I book?

Email info@hbillimedia.com with your show dates, the hall or ballroom, and what you want to walk away with. I'll reply with a plan and a quote, with no commitment to book. 50% holds the date, and the rest is due after your event, before editing begins.
